The city is vying for the new global champion city of software and outsourcing by the year 2018, said Xia Deren, mayor of the city at the Global Software and Information Service Forum of CISIS 2008 , adding that the IT industry including outsourcing and software will top in China.
However, what the city has to face at the mean time is the big challenge of appreciation of the RMB and increase of the cost, said Xia Deren.
He said innovation is the significant way for the city to solve out, which means to promote the industry level via doing high- end business.
The export agreement value in China reached nearly US$ 1.9 billion in 2007, up 64.8 per cent year on year, ,said Wang Chao , Assistant Minister of Commerce during the Global Software and Information Service Forum and Entrepreneurs’ Summit which fell on June 18.
China has 400 thousand professionals majored in software and information technology each year,out of over four million new college graduates.
