Just days ago, Shaoxing (Shenzhen) Investment Environment and Major Projects Promotion Meeting was held at Shenzhen's Wuzhou Guesthouse. At the meeting were over 250 participants from across the globe.
The Promotion Meeting launched 81 major projects involving investments of US$1.85 billion (with US$1.3 billion being foreign capital). Among the 81 major projects, 19 fall into the category of business & trade and tourism service, 32 in the category of machinery & electronics, 7 in the category of new materials, 15 in the category of light industry and food, and 8 in the category of distinctive industrial parks and other items.
12 development zones like Zhejiang Shaoxing Economic Development Zone, Paojiang New District and Jinghu New District offered undertakings and land to? invite Hong Kong and Taiwan businessmen. Meanwhile, over 500 non-governmental enterprises were also promoted.
Shaoxing also offered favorable policies to attract service outsourcing enterprises, which may, from the start-of-operation year, enjoy refund of business tax and locally-collected corporate income tax and at the same time, enjoy deed tax exemption and three-year tax holiday of property tax for their newly-built self-use office buildings.
